WELLINGTON COUNTY – Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) conservation areas will start taking online reservations on April 6, with camping season opening May 1 with restrictions.
The reservation system at www.grcacamping.ca provides a 24-hour, online-only reservation service until mid-October, when the camping season closes.
Reservations by phone can be made by calling the parks directly, beginning May 1.
Campsite reservations can be made for all eight GRCA conservation areas that offer camping. Group sites and pavilions will not be available this season.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a number of restrictions will be in place at GRCA conservation areas this season.
Conservation areas will be operating with a reduced capacity, day-use areas will also have reduced capacities and guests will be asked to follow all local public health guidelines.
Most washroom facilities will be open, however showers will remain closed.
Boat rentals and food concessions will be closed for the season, as will swimming pools at Brant and Byng Island conservation areas and the splash pad at Elora Gorge Conservation Area.
