CAMBRIDGE – With the recent colder temperatures and snow, four GRCA parks are now open for winter activities, though not yet for the full slate of activities.
It’s important to note that winter activities being offered are subject to change, based on weather conditions.
Below is a list of activities that are being offered at each park at this time:
Belwood Lake Conservation Area
– Ice fishing open, minnows on sale
– Cross-country skiing open, ungroomed trails
– Snowshoeing open, rentals not available
– Walking/hiking trails open
Pinehurst Lake Conservation Area
– Cross-country skiing open, ungroomed trails, equipment rentals not available at this time
– Snowshoeing open, rentals only available on weekends
– Lakeside Walking Trail open, 2 km plowed trail
Rockwood Conservation Area
– Cross-country skiing open, ungroomed trails, no equipment rentals
– Snowshoeing open, rentals not available
– Walking/hiking trails open; however trails are icy and visitors should be cautious
Shade’s Mills Conservation Area
– Ice fishing open, no huts available at this time
– Walking/hiking trails open
