The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) is holding a free workshop for landowners in the northern Grand River watershed to learn more about environmental stewardship on rural properties.
The workshop will be held on Nov. 7 from 6:30 to 8pm at the Amaranth Township office (374028 6th Line, Amaranth).
The workshop is designed to help participants learn how to attract wildlife, improve fish habitat and grow a forest.
Topics covered will include tree planting for windbreaks and pollination corridors, water quality protection in surface and ground water and general habitat enhancement.
Each participant will receive a Rural Landowner Stewardship Guide to help create an action plan for their properties.
To register for the workshop, email ruralwater@grandriver.ca or call Karen Buschert at 1-866-900-4722, extension 2262.
