A day of family fun is in store at Guelph Lake Conservation Area on June 23 when the first Party in the Park takes place.
And best of all, it’s free. There will be no entrance fee for day-use visitors coming to the park on June 23.
The party is sponsored by the Grand River Conservation Authority and 1460 CJOY/Magic 106 radio stations in Guelph. They will be broadcasting live updates from the park during the day.
Activities that will take place from 11am to 3pm on the Guelph Lake Island include:
– critter shows;
– craft tables;
– geocaching;
– seed planting demo;
– displays by the Wellington County OPP, Guelph fire department and other agencies;
– a hot dog and hamburger booth hosted by the Rockwood Lions Club;
– music from the stage presented by Corus Entertainment, owner of 1460 CJOY and Magic 106; and
– many more activities and displays.
Guelph Lake Conservation Area is one of 11 operated by the Grand River Conservation Authority stretching from Fergus in to Dunnville.
