Grand River Agricultural Society introduces new Community Mini-Grant program

The Grand River Agricultural Society (GRAS) has launched a new Community Mini-Grant program.

The organization is accepting applications until May 1. All projects must be related to agriculture and/or the environment.

To be considered for funding, applicants must clearly illustrate how their project will benefit the local community (Elora, Fergus and surrounding areas). Donations may be granted to a local community group or an individual.

For inquiries about the program, contact Dorothy Key at 519-846-8879 or info@grandriveragsociety.com

The GRAS owns and operates Grand River Raceway in Elora. It is a not-for-profit corporation, incorporated under the Agricultural and Horticultural Societies Act of Ontario and governed by a volunteer board of directors reporting to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA).

The GRAS mandate is to encourage awareness of agriculture and to promote improvements in the quality of life of persons living in an agricultural community.
