Neither rain, nor snow nor dead of night could keep Ronald McDonald from town, and owner/operator John Moseley-Williams couldn’t be happier.
“With the outside seating and awning, we’ll have a year-round facility that we’re more and more proud of,” Moseley-Williams said.
“In addition to the people you see standing up here,” Moseley-Williams thanked Derrick McEwen and his crew for putting up with the all the noise and mess. “… and to our customers over the last number of months, while we completed our renovations.
“We look forward to many happy years here in support of Fergus and area.
“The only other thing I’d like to say is have fun. Come back and see us and smile lots, and have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. God bless. Take care.”

The restaurant also provides a newer and larger dining area.
“We not only rearranged and expanded the kitchen area, but also the storage and freezer capacity.
“When we looked at the opportunity Fergus offers, with the economic development here and properties across the road, we thought we might as well do it now, and be ahead of the need.
“We’ve worked a lot with our staff development and our management development in order to serve the customers in a more efficient way.
“What we’ve found in the past two-and-a-half years since we’ve owned it, is that the sales increases have been huge. Again that goes back to Derrick and his staff.
“There’s a great bunch and it’s an easy restaurant to run when you have good people.
“We look at other things that we can do to boost our business, even putting the awning out front, in summer its certainly very nice and people do appreciate that.
“A lot of what we’ll do is involvement in the community, and building our image with coffee events
“Fergus is a great little town. When we bought two-and-a half years ago, I had this in my mind then, but it takes time to get the designs and all the permits.
“It took a little longer than we anticipated, but we’re very happy. He laughed that the past two and a half years have “been like trying to give birth to an elephant.”
