The County of Wellington and the County OPP are inviting everyone to attend to the grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony on April 29. That event will include tours of the building, static policing displays, a K-9 demonstration, the county OPP Mounted Unit and members of the OPP Pipes and Drums.
The event runs from 2 to 4pm.
The property just west of the county museum has a new look since the county and its Police Services Board hired Tambro Construction to erect a new building to house the 48 employees of the Wellington OPP. The state-of-the-art facility will be the Centre Wellington operations centre.
The Wellington County OPP has been working out of its new office at 470 County Road 18 between Fergus and Elora since April 13.
