Grand Celtic Pipe Band enjoyed successful summer competition season

The Grand Celtic Pipe Band has enjoyed a successful competition season this year on the circuit of Highland Games in Ontario.

The band practices and prepares all year long to compete in two piping divisions: Grades IV and V. This year the band traveled to the following Highland Games/competition events: Toronto Indoor, Georgetown, Embro, Kincardine, Cambridge  Cobourg, Maxville, North American Pipe Band Championship, and Fergus.

In the Grade V division the band placed third at the Maxville Highland Games, the North American Pipe Band Championship, which is a considerable accomplishment. Maxville hosts the largest Highland Games in North America, with many bands competing for the three top prizes.

In the Grade V division again, the band placed second at the Fergus Highland Games this year. It’s always an honour to win a place in the competition in their hometown says the group.
