A panel of three will discuss how citizens’ taxes aid private corporations at a meeting here on Sept. 15.
The topic for the event is Public-Private Partnership: Who pays? Who benefits?
Those attending can learn how the concept affects the financing of hospitals and other public infrastructure.
The event, sponsored by the Guelph Wellington Health Coalition and the Council of Canadians, Guelph Chapter will be held at the Unitarian Church at 122 Harris St. (at York Road). The discussion starts at 7:30pm, and audience participation is invited after the discussion is concluded.
The panel includes:
– Magee McGuire RN., BA. CLM, chairman of the Guelph Wellington Health Coalition;
– Carolyn Pletsch PhD candidate, Public-Private-Partnerships; and
– David Williams CMA, health advocate.
