A series of three governance workshops for volunteer boards is back by popular demand.
The series of three workshops is for board members and senior staff of community benefit organizations. It is designed so participants have a clearer understanding of the why and how of the job they are expected to do.
Topics covered include: foundation for a strong organization and board roles and responsibilities, and community engagement and recruitment. The three hour evening workshops take place on three consecutive Tuesdays. A certificate of participation will be issued to each participant who successfully completes the training.
The workshop was sold out last fall. It runs Jan. 26, Feb. 2 and 9 from 6 to 9pm, at the Volunteer Centre of Guelph and Wellington, 46 Cork Street East in Guelph. The cost is $80, and the sessions are meant to be taken consecutively.
