Good Lovelies’ annual Christmas concert lands in Guelph

GUELPH – Good Lovelies’ annual Christmas tour is on the road this December, bringing classic holiday songs, timeless winter selections, and original Good Lovelies songs to the stage.

Caroline Brooks, Kerri Ough and Susan Passmore are a trio of songwriters, multi-instrumentalists, and harmonizers known for their nostalgic sound during the holidays that crosses between folk-roots, old-time swing, soul and bluegrass.

Accompanying them onstage will be their Merry Men, “featuring some of Canada’s finest musicians,” officials state – Robbie Grunwald on keys and piano, Steve Zsirai on bass, and Mark Mariash on drums.

To celebrate the fifth anniversary of their 2019 release Evergreen, Good Lovelies released a limited edition “peppermint green” vinyl, which is available now in stores, online and at the merch table.

This year, the band will also weave in selections from their Juno-nominated album, We Will Never Be The Same.

“Combined with their usual banter, the Good Lovelies’ holiday show is a good time for the whole family,” officials state.

The trio is set to perform their Christmas tour in Guelph at the River Run Centre on Dec. 12 at 7:30pm.

Tickets range from $25 to $50 depending on age and seating.

Good Lovelies first came together in 2006 and have since compiled a catalogue of thirteen albums, including two Christmas collections.

They have toured across North America, Europe, the UK, and Australia, and have earned such accolades as a JUNO Award, four Canadian Folk Music Awards and Ontario Folk Music Award nominations.
