GUELPH – Ginger St. James will be bringing her band to Guelph to perform at the closing weekend of Music Weekends March 8.
St. James is known for her powerhouse voice, vivacious stage presence and a distinctive style that fuses rockabilly, country and blues.
With her vintage aesthetic, sharp wit and unapologetically bold attitude, she commands the stage with a magnetic energy that keeps audiences captivated, stated officials in a press release.
The band will perform songs from their highly anticipated new album as well as older favourites. Told Ya will be released on March 21 by Kitchener’s Busted Flat Records and may be pre-ordered before that. Plank Road Revelators from KW will open the show.
The show will be held at the Red Papaya Thai & Grill at 55 Wyndham St. N, in Guelph. Doors open at 1:30pm with the show commencing at 2pm.
Admission is pay what you can, with proceeds going towards the cost of the event.
