The Canadian Cancer Society is hosting the second annual Mudmoiselle on Sept. 15 at Cox Creek Cellars near Guelph.
The Mudmoiselle/Mudmonsieur obstacle course is a 5km stretch of the “muckiest, filthiest, slimiest mud,” organizers state.
This event is open to all fitness levels, whether you’re used to running marathons, running around the office or running after your kids, organizers added.
New this year is the Mini Mudster event. Kids agedfour to 12 can experience the Mudmoiselle event with a 1km fun mud run with downsized versions of the adult obstacles.
All Mini Mudsters will receive a T-shirt and medal at the end of the race.
The goal is to have fun while raising money for the Canadian Cancer Society.
“The money raised helps to fund Canada’s most promising cancer research and vital support services which help local patients and their families during a difficult time,” said Kaitlynn Barrett.
Last year, over $115,000 was raised with over 500 participants. For more information and to register a team (or as an individual) visit www.mudmoiselle.ca/guelph.
