Gardening Fundamentals is a series of courses designed for both the beginner and experienced gardener. The course is offered by The Arboretum on Tuesdays, April 9, 16, 30, May 7, 14, and 21, from 7pm. to 9:30pm.
Course material covers basic information to provide a good grounding and then goes on to introduce advanced topics that are normally not found in gardening books.
Topics include preparing beds, understanding soil, vegetables, perennials, trees and shrubs, bulbs and ornamental grasses and pests and garden myths.

The registration fee is $10 + HST per course and the registration deadline is Tuesday, Apr. 2.
