Canada Garden Day is an initiative of the Canadian Garden Tourism Council.
On June 16, Canadian communities from coast to coast to coast will celebrate the values of gardens, gardening and green spaces.
Gardens generate numerous values: social, environmental, health, safety, beauty and sense of community.
This year, the celebration is a collaborative presentation, from 10am to 2pm by the University of Guelph and the City of Guelph.
For your enjoyment, there are tours of Riverside Park (Guelph’s oldest park), the Aboretum and the Conservatory Gardens.
A program of music, light refreshments, remarks and dedication will take place.
