ABOYNE – The Gallery Concert Series at the Wellington County Museum returns on Feb. 9 at 2pm, after a full-house audience attended the January performance.
The coming concert will feature Danielle Beck playing alto saxophone, and Greg Stroh on flute, both accompanied by Brad Moggach, on the Yamaha grand piano.
Beck offers a program that is Spanish in flavour, with Latin American dances, Recuerdos de Espana, and excerpts from pieces by Villa Lobos.
Beck is the full time saxophone instructor for the Beckett School at Wilfrid Laurier University.
Diversifying the program is Stroh who has been the flute instructor at the Beckett School for many years.
Stroh comes from a family of musicians.
His program offers a combination of Sonatas by Bach, Hindemith and Quantz.
The Gallery Concerts are organized by a non-profit group and performers generously offer their talents to make these musical afternoons in our community memorable.
Tickets are available at the door for $10 and $1 for youth.
The concert will take place surrounded by the Plein Air sketches and paintings of numbers of area artists, and all exhibits of the museum are included in the concert ticket.
Stay after for refreshments with friends and musicians.
