ABOYNE- For the opening concert of the new season, we welcome the Cantabile Strings as they come together to explore the many sides of the string quartet.
The concert is set to take place at the Wellington County Museum and Archives on Nov. 6 at 2pm.
These non-profit concerts will take place five times this season in the Exhibition Hall of the museum and are supported by musicians who volunteer their time and talents.
The concerts are jointly sponsored by the museum and the Elora Arts Council.
With a program called Remembrance and Celebration, Rags to Riches, Past to Present, they continue their eclectic interpretation of what music can be.
Formed through friendships originating while members of several local orchestras, this string quartet has become regulars at the Gallery Concerts.
“With their novel approach to the genre we always look forward to their contributions,” organizers say.
Tickets can be purchased at the door for $10.
There will be coffee post performance and time to meet with the musicians.
