The Gallery Concert Series is kicking off the 2017-18 season with the Cantabile Strings on Nov. 5 at 2pm at the Wellington County Museum’s Exhibition Hall.
Ticket are available at the door and include access to all the exhibits at the Museum.
From the solemnity of Samuel Barber’s Adagio to the jazz of Oscar Peterson’s Hymn To Freedom, it will be a stirring program enhanced by the exhibit Searching for William Ronald: a visual essay of the life and work of the iconic Fergus and nationally acclaimed abstract artist, displaying his artwork, family photographs and personal artifacts.
The Musicians of the Cantabile Strings: Paul McNaughton on violin, Jay Samuels on violin, Ron Dolynchuk on viola and Murray Charters on cello, expand the program with Sonatine by Anton Dvorak, the Emperor by Joseph Haydn and the String Quartet in C minor by Beethoven.
Join the artists and friends for refreshments after the concert, and celebrate the opening of a new Gallery Concert season, organized by a small group of dedicated people, the Gallery Music Group, annually since 1988.
