Tannis Sprott, Mezzo-Soprano, and the pianist Mark McDowell are coming to the Gallery Concert Series on Nov. 13 at 2pm at the Wellington County Museum and Archives.
“To many music lovers they will need no introduction,” organizers state. “We hear them on radio and in the concert halls: a magic duo.”
The program they present will be entitled Americana. It will include many well loved songs by Gershwin, and Copland, as well as Spirituals.
After intermission, McDowell will play Appalachian Spring, by Aaron Copland.
McDowell is a founding father and music master of St. John’s School (Elora).
Tickets are available at the door of the museum for $10.
There will be opportunity to meet the performers over tea after the concert.
