Anyone who belongs to a group interested in raising money for programs or projects, should attend the Upper Grand Learning Foundation’s Fundraising Fair.
On April 28, at the Guelph Holiday Inn (on Scottsdale), vendors representing everything from chicken to notepads, and magazines to disc jockey services, will be under one roof for organizations to see first hand. Group members can sample products, gather information, and talk to experts about fundraising.
The mini-seminars designed to help people raise funds are back. They will run concurrently and be held twice.
At 1:30 and 2:30pm, the Volunteer Centre Guelph-Wellington will offer strategies on recruiting volunteers, and Mary Lloyd will give expert advice on raising funds.
Having the opportunity to plan a unique fundraiser and co-ordinate with others in order to maximize efforts and profits can only be beneficial for school, church, clubs or teams.
The fair, with music and door prizes, will be open from 1 to 8pm. Admission and parking are free. For more information contact Rosemary Woods at 519-843-3438 or rmswoods@hotmail.com.
