Frightful family fun at Frightapalooza Festival

On Oct. 26 from 11am to 5pm the first annual Frightapalooza festival takes place at the Alton Mill Arts Centre.

The first event of its kind at the Alton Mill, Frightapalooza is a celebration of all things Halloween and harvest, promising a day of scary fun for the entire family.

Admission is $5 and includes pumpkin carving and decorating, face painting, temporary tattooing by Citrus City Tattoos, a haunted fun house, storytelling in the forest, live music by funk jazz band Murky and a zombie fashion show.

Festival workshops offered by Alton Mill artists include: scary spin art with Paul Morin, witch’s ladder with C.J. Shelton, Halloween jewelry- making at Gemma Gallery, wicked wax with Andrea Bird, and paper mask-making and origami at Noodle Gallery.

Come in full costume and get in for free.
