A barn dance is taking place at the Elora Legion on June 24 at 8pm.
All attending should wear comfortable shoes and clothes and be ready to square dance, contra dance and waltz, organizers say. No partner or previous experience is necessary. Just listening to the live band, Relative Harmony, will get everyone’s toes tapping and the caller will guide dancers through the steps, officials say.
The band includes a fiddle, piano, guitar and banjo in an upbeat style.
Tickets are $15 at the door and include a lunch provided by local restaurants.
Dancers can bid on interesting items at the silent auction and support SaveOurWater.
The dance is a fundraiser to raise money to oppose an application by Nestle.
Come dance up a storm, share a lunch and bid on the auction goodies at the Friday night barn dance in Elora.
