FERGUS – The Centre Wellington Black Committee’s “Awakened Voices” is presenting Free the Revolution, an Afro-Latino artist.
The show takes place from 2 to 4pm on June 9 at the Fergus Grand Theatre.
“If there is one word to describe Free the Revolution as an artist it is ‘energy’,” officials state.
Tickets cost $35 and are available through the theatre’s online site as well as numerous places around town.
Free the Revolution was born to an Ecuadorian mother and a Jamaican father and uses his voice to bring people together.
His music combines Caribbean and Latin sounds with a deep soulful groove to create a new synthesized form of pop music.
“It’s made for everyone, transcending borders and cultures,” organizers say.
