Family fun – Skaters came out in droves to the Centre Wellington Community Sortsplex in Fergus on Feb. 20 to take advantage of a free Family Day public skate sponsored by Century 21 Excalibur Realty Inc. With the snow almost gone outdoors and most places closed for the holiday, the rink was a welcome option for folks going stir-crazy at home. And a free lunch didn’t hurt either. Officials say they served up 700 hotdogs, 300 donuts and “uncountable” hot chocolate drinks.
