Floradale jumped into this game securing two unanswered goals in the first period.
Josh Brohman started things off with an unassisted goal and then set up Clinton Deckert for the second goal.
Corey Wideman added Floradale’s third goal in the second period to strengthen the lead.
Bethel responded with two quick goals to stay in the game. Laverne Metzger scored an unassisted goal and Tom Bearinger worked with Eric Schuurmans for Bethel’s second goal.
Floradale strengthened their lead again in the third. Ryan Martin took the pass from Tim Martin and scored the important insurance goal.
Bethel fought back and was rewarded in the dying seconds of the game. Eric Schuurmans took the pass from Caleb Bauman and brought Bethel within one.
However with only three seconds left in the game, Floradale claimed the win.
DRAYTON 6 COMMUNITY 0
After stacking up four unanswered goals in the first period, all Community could do is slow down the Drayton scoring. Drayton added a single goal in both the second and third period to finish the decisive shut out win.
Read Shantz and Eric Deckers each scored a pair of goals. Rob DeWeerd and Aaron Keunan added the other two. Assists were earned by Brandon Rumph, Joe Heenan, Herman Mulder and Darren Mohle.
Kevin Ottens secured the shut out in the Drayton net.
LISTOWEL 6 MISSIONARY 3
Curtis Bults and Pat Landman each scored a goal in the first period to give Missionary an early lead. But the lead was short lived as Listowel took control of the game after that.
Brad Gratz worked with Curtis Wagler to score a Listowel goal in the first period. However three unanswered goals in the second period put the game away. Josh Shantz scored a pair and Mike Gingrich the other. Travis Shantz drew an assist.
Brad Gratz and Josh Shantz added two more goals for Listowel in the third, assisted by Lowell Weber and Phil Shantz.
Missionary managed a single unassisted goal in the third by Pat Landman.
