Five-course harvest table dinner

Join Artisanale French Country Cooking Jan. 29 for a special harvest table dinner in support of FarmStart, a local organization that encourages and supports a new generation of entrepreneurial, ecological farmers.

The meal, a simple and delicious five-course, farm-style, winter harvest menu, will feature FarmStart’s organic pasture raised Cornish Cross chickens and other locally raised organic produce. Vegetarian options are available upon request.

Several current and graduated FarmStart farmers will also be joining us to share their stories.

The menu will include:

– amuse;

– peasant soup;

– kale salad with beets;

– Cornish Cross chicken with roasted root vegetables and gratin dauphinoise, (vegetarian option available upon request);

– artisanal cheese with honey, dates and walnut bread;

– tarte tatin; and

– bio-dynamic wine pairing, $35.

The meal is Jan. 29 at the Artinsanale French Country Cooking restaurant, 214 Woolwich St., Guelph.

The cost is $100 per person, with $50 charitable tax receipts available. Call 519-821-3359 to reserve.
