The conservation area here is the site of an annual fishing derby from 8am to 3pm this Sunday.
The derby entry fee is regular park admission plus $1. Registration is at the boat launch. The longest fish will determine the winning fish and ties will be decided by a coin toss for the catch-and-release event.
Rules include no fish on stringers can be entered and participants should have a live well.
