Firearms stolen during break-in at Erin home

ERIN  – Police are investigating the theft of various items, including two guns, during a residential break-in here last week.

Wellington County OPP officials say police were informed on March 18 about the March 13 break-in at a house on Wellington Road 50 in Erin.

Police say that on March 13 at about 7:30pm, someone forced open the front door of the house and stole a shotgun (described as 12 calibre, double barrel, over and under, Marlin) and a pistol (22 calibre, V-Bernadelli Gardone), as well as cash, a 40-inch flat screen TV, jewelry and collector coins.

The suspect is described as a man in his mid 20s to early 30s with a short goatee-mustache/beard and tribal type tattoos on upper arm/s. He was wearing a tight fitting skull cap, light-coloured hoodie over a Toronto Raptors T-shirt, and camouflage print pants.
