Centre Wellington Fire Chief Brad Patton has been recognized for his years of service.
As Centre Wellington Mayor Joanne Ross-Zuj made a presentation at council on Oct. 15, she said “we have been very blessed to have one of the finest fire chiefs this province has ever seen, working in Centre Wellington.”
Ross-Zuj noted Patton’s numerous accomplishments since coming to the municipality.
“It is truly remarkable.”
She said “he has such a large scope of fire knowledge in terms of what he has brought to training alone.”
Ross-Zuj said, “we are always learning something new, because of the knowledge Brad brings.”
She considered the night special with a recognition of 30 years of service.
“It is with pleasure I present this certificate to recognize that 30 years.”
In addition a medal was presented to attach to his uniform.
“We’re just delighted to have you with the department and thank you for all your years of service.”
“It’s been a privilege and an honour to serve the community,” Patton said.
