WELLINGTON NORTH – A Fergus man has life-threatening injuries after a truck ran into a house here on Monday.
Wellington County OPP officials say emergency crews responded to the scene, on Wellington Road 16 south of Damascus, at about noon on Jan. 1.
“Initial reports indicated that a red pickup truck had left the roadway and struck a single-family dwelling, causing extensive structural damage to the home,” police stated in a press release.
“The lone occupant of the vehicle, a 64-year-old from Fergus, was airlifted to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.”
Police say the resident of the home was uninjured.
