Fergus man faces break-in, mischief, threat charges

LISTOWEL – A Fergus man faces several charges in connection with two break-ins and a damaged sign, all within three days.

Perth County OPP officials say that just before 1am on June 16, police began investigating after a person unknown to the homeowner entered a residence on Wallace Avenue North in Listowel. The man was arrested on scene.

On June 18 just before 8am, a citizen reported an alarm at a business on Inkerman Street West in Listowel. 

“When police arrived on scene moments later, a person was found inside and was arrested,” states a press release from the OPP.

On June 19, police were notified an individual had threatened a local business and damaged a sign.

Ryan Sullivan, 31, of Fergus, was charged with: unlawfully entering a dwelling, break and enter with the intent to commit an indictable offence, uttering threats to damage property, mischief (destroy or damage property), resisting a peace officer and assaulting a peace officer.

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
