FERGUS – A Fergus man faces threat and weapons charges after police say he caused a disturbance here earlier this week.
On Aug, 2 at about 12:20pm, Wellington County OPP officers responded to a disturbance in the parking lot of a business on Tower Street South in Fergus.
“Upon arrival officers observed an individual causing a disturbance and he was taken into custody,” police stated in a press release.
Shawn Patrick Nelson, 41, of Fergus, was charged with causing a disturbance in public, carrying a concealed weapon, two counts of uttering threats and five counts carrying of a concealed weapon while unauthorized.
He was held for a bail hearing.
