Fergus Lions Club Home & Leisure Show issues call for exhibitors

The Fergus Lions Club is seeking interested exhibitors for its annual home and leisure show to be held May 4 to 6.

Officials say that since it first began in 1979, the show has grown and expanded in stature as one of the best shows of its kind in southwestern Ontario in the small town category.

Organizers stated the event has not only grown in size, but in terms of diversity, covering not only home improvements, but ranging to landscaping, travel, food preparation, real estate, insurance and public interest groups.

The show enjoys an annual increase in public attendance because of its free admission (with a donation to the food bank) as well as the annual fish fry held on the last night, sponsored by the Fergus Lioness Club.

Exhibitors favour its format of three nights from 6pm to 10pm so that small exhibitors do not have to close their places of business or hire additional staff in order to partake, officials note.

Interested exhibitors are asked to visit the club’s website www.ferguslions.org, or call Lions Ian McArthur (519-843-6604) or Vern Trask (519-843-3463) for further information.

The show is advertised using radio, and Newspaper media as well as a Newspaper insertion of a 12-page flyer distributed to 48,000 homes in Wellington County and parts of Waterloo County.

Revenues realized from this event go towards funding Lions projects in the community.
