FERGUS – The Fergus Horticultural Society is launching the Grand Gardens of Fergus to recognize the beautiful gardens homeowners create in the town of Fergus.
“Homeowners do so much to beautify and make this a great place to live,” officials say. “It is good for us who live here and great for visitors to see what a special town Fergus is.”
Nominations can be made by sending an email to the Fergus Horticultural Society at Fergushorticulture@gmail.com.
The program will run every summer with a panel of horticultural members including Master Gardeners selecting homes.
Up to six homes will be recognized every summer.
Homeowners selected will receive a Grand Garden sign for their garden, a one year complimentary membership to the Fergus and District Horticultural Society, an invitation to one of the society’s monthly meeting for recognition and congratulations and a certificate honouring their selection.
