FERGUS – With the new year comes the search for a suitable calendar.
The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) recently distributed over 500,000 copies of its multi-lingual 2024 calendar across Canada with photos from several Canadian locations and some other countries as well.
And Fergus was chosen for the month of April – more specifically the small waterfalls in Confederation Park.
According to RBC regional communications director Jill Hastie, the new calendar was the result of an internal campaign called “Stories from Home.”
Earlier in the year, Hastie said RBC employees were asked to share a memory or tradition about a physical place in a city or region they call home.
“Employees were asked to submit a short write-up about their location and had the option of including photography along with their story,” she stated in an email to the Advertiser.
Selection of the final 12 images was based on the personal story submitted, as well as diversity of geographical location.
RBC clients can visit their local branch to get a copy of the 2024 calendar.
