FERGUS — The Fergus Fall Fair is approaching quickly and fair officials are looking for the next fair ambassador for 2023-24.
Officials says the leadership opportunity that comes along with being an ambassador is a great way to learn new skills and build-up one’s resume.
The role will also allow participants to gain skills in public speaking, job interviewing and leadership as a whole, officials say.
The next ambassador will learn about the growing community and how to promote and support agriculture.
All genders and demographics between the ages of 17 and 24 are welcome to put their abilities to the test. The only other requirement is that people applying are residents of Fergus/Elora and the surrounding area. No agricultural experience is needed. The winner will receive a gift from the fair at the competition and a monetary scholarship.
