Family fun at Harriston Street Party

HARRISTON – Celebrate summer with the “ultimate” summer street festival from sun-up to sun-down in downtown Harriston. 

The party starts Aug. 10 with breakfast hosted by the Legion from 7:30 to 11am. 

The festivities will continue downtown Harriston on Elora Street, between Arthur Street and Mill Street. 

Morning activities begin at 9am and include the Leslie Motors Classic Car Show, which will fill the streets with cars until 2pm. 

From 10am to 2pm attendees can shop the Minto Makers’ Market in Tannery Park, shop sidewalk sales at local businesses and grab lunch at various food trucks or the Harriston Historical Society BBQ. 

A variety of kids and family activities including the a foam party, balloons, face painting and new hockey interactives will all take place between 3 and 5pm. 

Kids may also create their own cool treat with Sundaes on the Street with Harriston Rising.

Tickets will be sold in advance only for this year’s Buffet on the Boulevard.

A ticket for $30 includes a meal catered by Homestyle Bites with chicken thighs, potato, pasta salad, coleslaw, a bun and dessert. 

The ticket also includes free admission to the evening’s Street Dance.

Those age 19 plus are welcome to join the downtown festivities after dark for the annual Harriston Street Dance 8pm-12am for a $5 cover charge.
