ABERFOYLE – Organizers are pleased to announce the Aberfoyle Fall Fair is back.
After cancelling the fair altogether in 2020 and running a half-day Agricultural Day in 2021, the full-fledged, in-person, see it-smell it-taste it fair is making a return.
“It was a major disappointment in 2020 when we had to cancel the 180th fall fair for the first time since its inception in 1840,” states a press release.
“While in 2021 the Agricultural Day was a great success and the community was most appreciative in being able to come out and celebrate our agricultural heritage, it still was not the same as our two-day fall fair.”
The fair is slated for Sept. 9 and 10 and will be held at the Puslinch Community Centre.
While there’s plenty of time yet, those who compete might want to keep it in mind. There are many classes of competition, from quilts to canned goods, to vegetables and animal husbandry.
