Police are reminding everyone about their “duty to report collisions” after someone ran into a stop sign and fence and then fled last week.
On Jan. 16 at about 3:50pm Wellington County OPP received a complaint about a male driver of a four-door silver sedan that hit a stop sign then a fence on Woodside Street in Fergus.
“The driver was seen getting out of his vehicle, looking around [and] then drove away,” police stated.
County roads staff put a temporary stop sign in place but the driver was not located, police say.
