Residents can now get their health card renewed and obtain driver’s licence and vehicle registration services in one location, John Wilkinson, MPP, Perth-Wellington announced June 25 at the province’s newest ServiceOntario site in Harriston.
“Residents of Minto expect government to spend their tax dollars wisely to provide excellent customer service, closer to home,” said Wilkinson.
“ServiceOntario is integrating services, to make things faster and easier for people in rural Ontario to get the government services they need. I am pleased that my constituents are now able to access this new expanded service.”
Routine health card services are now available at the ServiceOntario centre in Harriston at 36 Elora Street. Driver and vehicle renewal services were already available there.
ServiceOntario is integrating most health card and driver and vehicle services so the majority of Ontarians will be able to make one trip for those services. The changes will give people access to more routine government services and better meet customer needs, especially in rural and northern communities.
“We are thrilled to provide this new added health card renewal service,” said Minto Mayor David Anderson.
“Our residents appreciate being able to renew their health cards as well as their drivers licences in one location. On behalf of members of council I would like to thank MPP John Wilkinson for his support to ensure that we are open for business in Minto and area.”
Nearly 95 per cent of all Ontarians will soon be within 10 kilometres of an integrated ServiceOntario centre. To renew a licence plate online, and for a complete list of services available at each ServiceOntario centre, please visit www.serviceontario.ca.
