GUELPH – Family and Children’s Services of Guelph and Wellington has appointed a new executive director following the retirement of Sheila Markle.
The board of directors announced on July 7 that Daria Allan-Ebron will step into the role on Aug. 5.
Allan-Ebron is coming to Guelph-Wellington from the Peel Children’s Aid Society and brings with her over 27 years of child welfare experience, including frontline practice and a variety of leadership roles.
She is a committed and dedicated leader, the release states, with the ability to develop long-standing relationships with people, invest in strategies that honour and strengthen children and families, and empower people through collaboration, support, and partnership.
Markle joined the agency in 2016 and officially retired June 30.
She remains the CEO of Kindle Communities – a not for profit organization that provides permanent supportive housing to clients.
