EWCS Camp funding is still available

Funding is still available for the East Wellington Community Services Kids to Camp Program this year.

With the school year coming to an end, many families are starting to plan for summer.

At EWCS there is funding available through a grant from the Guelph Community Foundation to help subsidize eligible children’s camp fees to attend various summer camps during the months of July and August this year, in partnership with Erin Hoops.

“You don’t have to just enjoy basketball or soccer. Erin Hoops offers a huge variety of camps – everything from crafts and photography, to unicycling, lazer tag and things in between,” says Erika Westcott, Manager of Community and Volunteer Services with EWCS.

“This is another way that we work with various funding partners to help those on already limited income to help provide their children with a great summer experience. There is still funding available and we encourage all families who need help in being able to afford summer camps to drop into our office and pick up an application or call our office.”

Parents must complete an application form that clearly demonstrates their need and be a resident within the East Wellington area communities. For more information on this program, call the Erin office at 519-833-9696 or email info@ew-cs.com. The first week of camps starts on July 2.
