The Town of Erin has sold off 1 Shamrock Road, the former hydro building near Wellington Road 124, for $1.2 million.
On May 15, council decided to allocate $1 million of the funds to the Infrastructure Renewal Reserve Fund and $130,000 to renovation of the municipal office and roads operation centre.
“It’s great to see another million dollars be put aside in the infrastructure funds, so that’s important,” said councillor Matt Sammut.
The former Erin public utilities commission building was at one point occupied by Community Living Guelph and was the location of the town’s water department. In November the town declared the property surplus and listed it for sale.
