The fourth meeting of the Erin Poultry Club was held on Aug. 28.
We each made a show box out of some wood that was brought in to make them. We spent the rest of the meeting building the boxes and soon after we were all done building them, Brandon opened the meeting with the 4-H pledge and right after, minutes were read, and the business was discussed. Brandon closed the meeting with the 4-H motto.
On July 19 from 9 to 11pm at Mimosa Church there was a 4-H meeting. But not just any meeting. It was an Erin Poultry Club Showmanship meeting.
First we filled up our buckets that we brought with lukewarm water to wash our livestock in.
Then we started with showmanship. After that, we washed our chickens and dried them. After that, Brandon opened and then closed the meeting. Finally, we played murder wink until our parents got there.
The Erin Poultry Club had another fantastic meeting at Mimosa Church on Aug. 21. First, Brandon opened the meeting with the pledge. The roll call asked if you were going to Erin fair, Fergus fair or both with your chickens.
Then June went over the Fergus Fair entries and picked out the groups.
We got to work on building our displays (mine is the life cycle of a chicken and was on display at the Fergus fair).
