Erin launches Art in the Hall to showcase local artists

The Town of Erin has launched a new exhibition program to help celebrate local artists within the community.

The town will be providing a dedicated space within the municipal office for residents to freely display their artwork, in an effort to showcase the diverse array of creative talent that thrives within Erin.

The Art in the Hall program will accept seasonal submissions from artists of all ages, and display artwork in various mediums.

The designated display space will be located in the public viewing area directly outside of council chambers. The public will have access to view the public art display throughout the entire year, and will feature a new display of artwork every season.

“This is a great opportunity for local artists to have another venue to display their works,” said Mayor Alls. Works of art for public display will be assessed by Erin’s Artwork Selection Committee (ASC).

The town invites Erin artists of all ages and backgrounds to apply for participation in the public exhibition of artwork at Erin Town Hall.

Although all local submissions will be accepted, residents of Erin are ultimately preferred.

To submit an application email townhallart@erin.ca or submit in person at the municipal office. The deadline to submit applications for the spring term is Feb. 19.
