Dina Lundy is “no longer with the town” as of March 8, leaving Erin without a clerk.
While the circumstances surrounding her departure have not been released, Mayor Allan Alls said on March 12 it is not related to the restructuring of town staff that occurred in July.
“We wish Dina the best of luck with her future endeavours,” said Alls. He added the appointment of CAO Nathan Hyde as deputy clerk on Feb. 20 was not related to Lundy’s departure.
“I can’t discuss it any more than that at this time,” said Alls.
The town will “probably be going to the market” for a new clerk, he noted.
The role is integral to the operation of the town, notably during the lame duck and municipal election period later this year.
Alls said the town planned on issuing a press release about Lundy’s departure, but nothing was received by press time.
