An art exhibit by Roy Grandy, from Erin, at the Princess Twin Cinemas’ Odeon Gallery has attracted considerable attention over the past six weeks and continues until the end of June. On display are varied works depicting landscape scenes and interpretive large-format paintings.
“The current appetite for artwork centres on larger pieces that have the scope to truly convey a scene or evoke a feeling derived from nature,” Grandy said. “It’s been wonderful to have the opportunity to exhibit in Waterloo and have positive response from gallery visitors along with commissions and art sales.”
The gallery is on the lower level of the Princess Twin Cinemas http://www.princesscinemas.com/ at 46 King Street North in Waterloo.
Grandy has always pursued creative means to convey inspiration from nature through painting with watercolours, acrylics, oils and wood turnings. Grandy’s exhibit concludes on June 30 and more information about his work can be found at www.sumacartworks.ca.
