Officials say 2013 promises to be a great year for members of the Eramosa 4-H Beef Club.
“With a lineup of guest speakers, family activities, farm tours and hands-on learning opportunities, the 4-H club has a lot to offer young members,” club officials stated in a press release.
The first meeting of the beef club is April 23 at 7:30pm at the Wallace Farm in Elora. This year’s theme is beef breeding and genetics. Members will also have the opportunity to learn leadership, public speaking and judging skills and how to train and show a calf – all with an emphasis on the 4-H motto “learn to do by doing.”
The club is open to anyone aged 9 to 21 – no experience required. For more information contact Allan Wallace at 519-846-9712 or Scott Bessey at 519-843-5083.
