The Eramosa 4-H beef club had its first meeting at the Wallace farm April 24.
Our leaders are Alan Wallace, Scott Bessey, Chrissie Snyder, and Jeanine Moyer. We started with a game to meet our two new members.
After that we chose our executive for 2008. Our president is Andrew Taylor, vice president Jarret Kerr, secretary Edward Wallace, press reporters Valerie and Allison Wallace and Kayla Scott. Our club theme this year is judging.
To practice judging our creative leaders got us to judge pens. We were given forms to be completed for our club project and an information package from Wellington County 4-H that needs to be completed. After that, leader Alan Wallace went over the member code of conduct. Our president, Taylor, closed the meeting with the 4-H motto “learn to do by doing.” Next meeting is May 22, at the Wallace farm.
