Equine Guelph is holding a special contest on Facebook asking people what horses mean to them.
Entries will be accepted until Dec. 20.
Contest organizers ask youths to show or tell about the bond they share with horses by entering the first EquiMania Facebook contest. A cool prize is on offer for the winner and sure to be appreciated by the horse lover in the family.
By entering, contestants agree to allow submissions to be posted on the EquiMania Facebook page. A celebrity panel of judges will choose the top entries and post them on EquiMania’s Facebook page for a final vote.
Winners will be notified by email and will have their submission posted on EquiMania’s Facebook page.
Contestants must be “a friend” of the EquiMania Facebook page in order to be eligible to win. The five winners will receive their EquiMania prize package by mail.
There are five categories available for people to show an example of how special the horse-human bond is (or show why horses are important to the individual):
Contestants under 16 years old can submit either a drawing or story. Contestants 16 years and up can submit either a photo, story or video. Contestants must be a resident of Canada.
